Implementation of the education modernization project at “Saratovnedra”
Saratov. The Training center “Saratovnedra” – a subsidiary of OAO “Saratovneftegas” has for along time already stably keeping to the tendency of modernization of professional education. It is on this factor that training of highly qualified personnel for domestic economy depends on and, as the result of it, successful innovative development of the country as well.
The private educational institution of additional professional education PEI APE “Saratovnedra” is training workers and experts in 109 professionas, both for OAO “Saratovneftegas” and for its subsidiarues. A few dozens of other enterprises of the Saratov region which need such qualified workers as drillmen, oil and gas production operators, repairmen, drilling unit operator, crane operator (crane truck, traveller, spider crane, tower crane), welders, lath operators, electricians apply to its services .
In 2010 the educational programs for industrial and ecological safety, labor safety were significantly broadened. The Training center was accredited as a Independent Center of Attestation and Methods and at prsent it provides training in the following spheres of industrial safety: Main Principles of Industrial Safety; Oil and Gas Industry; Systems of Gas Supply and Consuption; Pressure vessels; Carg-Lifting Mechanisms; Exploitation of Trunk Pipeline Facilities, Exploitation of Petroleum Tank Farms and Oil Product Stores; Exploitation of Oil Chemistry and Oil Refining facilities; Exploitation of Means and Facilities of Hazardous Substances Transportation.
For the purpose of modernization and raising the quality of the services provided “Saratovnedra” tries to use in the process of education the most modern visual aids and technical educational means. One of the last purchases is worth special attention: it is a three- dimensional universal training facility – imitator which permits to implement practical training on the programs “Crane operator (crane truck, traveller, spider crane, tower crane) at super-modern level. Maximal imitation of the real working conditions permits to practice professional skills within the limits of the classroom. The interior of the cab, imitation of all the mode of functioning of the crane, 3-D soundtrack – all that is very helpful in the process of future specialists’ training.
The working place of a future crane operator is equipped with LCD panels reflecting the view seen from the cab of the crane. There is an option of swithing a video projector bringing the image from the shop to the large screen, where the teacher can see the student’s actions, correct his movements, make comments and analyze mistakes for the listeners. Besides, using an additional manipulator one may mare a “tour” around the shop and examin the construction of the crane (3-D model), its units seen from any angle of virtual space. Combination of theoretical and practical parts of the educational program, controlled by an experoenced teacher gives the listeners the possibility to receive larger amount of knowledge and practical experience for further use at the enterprises of construction and oil and gas industry.
Application of new modern efficient technical means of education, meeting the requirements of Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Control Federal Service and the Ministry of Education permit tp raise the level of theoretical and practical knowledge and the status of the Institution as a corporate Training center at OAO “Saratovneftegas”. During two years PEI APE “Saratovnedra” has been cooperating with the Ministry of labor and Employment of the Saratov region. The institution is implementing the program of advance education the purpose whereof is to retain working places and the employees at risk of being fired at the enterprises of Saratov and the Saratov region in the context of financial crisis.
