In Izhevsk from September 1 the students of the Udmurt State Universtity will study in the new building
Izhevsk. More than 1 500 students of the Udmurt State University will welcome the academic year in the new building of Petroleum Institute.
- Official opening is planned for August 30 or September 7. This date depends on business activity of Mikhail Gutseriev, the President of the Company “RussNeft”, - says Semyen Buntov, the rector of the Udmurt State University. – At present the work is going in full blast. The classes will start in time – by September 1 the lecture rooms will be ready.
The management of the University has assured that the new building will be supplied with the new laboratories.
- The total area of the building is about 8000 square km. The major part of the building is given over to the laboratories, - said Semyen Buntov. – Specialized equipment will be installed within 3 years.
Not only the students of the Petroleum Faculty will get knowledge in the new building, but also engineering students – power engineer, physicist, civil protection.
- There’s also decided the issue on construction of a separate hostel for the students of Oil & Gas Faculty, - said the rector of the Udmurt State University.
The former chair and lecture rooms won’t leave to waste – they will be occupied by the students from other faculties.
