01.09.2011 “Komsomolskaya pravda Izhevsk”

Izhevsk. On August, 30, Izhevsk marked one of the most important events of 2011. On this day a festive opening of the new building of oil and gas Institute of Udmurt State University. The event is in fact very significant and important for the development of oil and gas industry in Russia, for the teaching personnel of UdGU, and also for students- oilmen and their lucky parents. The Institute, which Izhevsk people called the seventh UdGU corpus, represents the real architectural masterpiece which, having appeared, decorates the capital of the Republic.

“The beautiful corpus was built in record time – all in one year”, said the President of Udmurtiya Alexander Volkov.  –“With its help we laid the future of our motherland, as our general well-being depends primarily on the educated people.
Alexander Alexandrovich told that several years ago the authorities of Udmurtiya asked for help in the construction of the corpus of the petroleum Institute. However, only one person responded. Major business figure and known throughout Russia patron Mikhail Gutseriev has invested 10 million dollars into the building and his endless love of native industry.
“I think you can spare money for anything, not only to education”-assures the president of OAO NK “RussNeft” Mikhail Gutseriev. I myself ceased to study only in 40 years, graduated from 4 higher educational institutions. This is why I know firsthand what it is to succeed, struggling through thorns. The establishment of oil and gas Institute is only the first step. God bless, next year we will start to build a modern hostel and start purchasing high-technology equipment to improve the learning process. And this is all for the Institute to become the real center of oil and gas branch in Russia. Semen Buntov, rector of the University, added that many did not believe in such rapid construction of the chassis of the Institute. This chassis is designed to train up to 600 students. This incredibly beautiful 9-storey building with an area of 8 thousand square meters has 21 educational-scientific laboratories, 12 audiences. It is here that more than 100 qualified teachers will teach students skills that are in demand around the world! “When Alexander Volkov and Mikhail Gutseriev agreed on the construction up to 1 September and shook hands, everybody stopped to worry - said Semyon Demyanovich, - Builders also performed a real feat! And most importantly, the Russian patronage is being revived due to Mikhail Safarbekovich.

Important!
Few know that the implementation of the charitable project in Udmurtia is far not the only one for Mikhail Gutseriev. The President of OAO NK “RussNeft” financed the construction of the zoo, assisted in the restoration of St. Michael’s Cathedral and many other monasteries and temples. To Mikhail Safarbekovich are grateful not only in Udmurtiya, but also in many other Russia’s regions and in entirely different spheres of activity, including educational and medical ones.

By the way
For the contribution to the implementation of the project, the President of Udmurtia signed an order to name the Institute of oil and gas of UdGU after the head of OAO NK “RussNeft” Mikhail Gutseriev.
“I feel great and undescribable sense that such beauty is called after my name, - said Mikhail Safarbekovich, - This feeling compels me to be tied to Institute all life. And it is a pleasant affection which I will always be proud of!
