ОАО NК «RussNeft» continues implementation of the charitable program on the territory of the Saratov Region
Saratov. In early September in the park named after G. S. Luzyanin of the worker’s settlement Stepnoye there took place the grand opening of the children’s playground complex, dedicated to the new academic year. Within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement in social and economic sphere made between OAO NK “RussNeft” and Administration of the Soviet Municipal District of the Saratov Region, there were allocated funds in the amount of 1.5 million Rubles for the purchase and installation of the children’s playground equipment – sandpits, swing, merry-go-round, slides, benches, sports equipment.
The event was attended by the administration of the Soviet Municipal District, ОАО «Saratovneftegaz», the deputies of the Saratov Regional Duma and the citizens of the village.
In 2009 to eternalize Luzyanin’s memory, the administration and the citizens of the worker’s settlement Stepnoye came forward with an initiative to restore the village park and to name it after Gennadiy Luzyanin – the Honorary Oilman of the USSR, who headed «Saratovneftegaz» for more than two decades. The team of ОАО «Saratovneftegaz» (a subsidiary enterprise of «RussNeft») responded to this initiative and provided charity support on reconstruction of the park in the amount of more than 820 thousand Rubles, which makes one-day earnings. For the second stage of the reconstruction of park – in 2010 – ОАО NК «RussNeft», in pursuance of its obligations under the Cooperation Agreement with the Administration of the Soviet Municipal District, has transferred 1 million Rubles.
The Soviet District is one of those, where ОАО NК «RussNeft» and its subsidiary enterprise ОАО «Saratovneftegaz» carries on dynamic production activity. It is safe to say that in the middle of the 20th century the worker’s settlement Stepnoye has got a shot in the arm thanks to «Saratovneftegaz». In 1954 exploration works in the Saratov Region have been crowned with success. The discovery of Stepnovskoye gas condensate deposit became a milestone event: a few years after the beginning of its development, the Saratov Region produced about 10% of total gas production in the USSR. In 2008 the specialists of «Saratovneftegaz» have discovered a new oil deposit in Engels District, which was named after Luzyanin, an outstanding personality of the Saratov oil and gas complex. Today the Saratov oil workers and the Soviet District continue to develop good-neighborly relations: here are a few important objects of ОАО «Saratovneftegaz», there is carried out development of Vostochno-Suslovskoye and Vasnetsovskoye oil fields.
