"RussNeft" has begun to utilize associated petroleum gas from Mokhtik field to the gas turbine electric power plant of Tomskneft

"The pipeline commissioning will allow the company to exceedingly increase petroleum associated gas supply to the station and in such a way to increase the level of its utilization", the press-service reports.
Thanks to the attainment of rated capacity by 22 mln cubic meters of gas per year, the planned output of the electric power in the gas turbine electric power plant will make 42,1 mln kWh.
"Due to the fact that until now in the fields of Poludennoye license area there wasn’t enough its own gas resources to load two existing power plants, we decided to unite with the other subsurface users", - the press-release says.
As a result "Tomskneft" managed to raise the efficiency of the station and to maximally meet the growing requirements of the industry.
ОАО "MPC "Aganneftegazgeologia" acted as the general contractor for the pipeline construction.
The development of Mokhtik field of Nizhnevartovsk District, KhMAO, is carried out by ОАО "Mokhtikneft" (incorporated in NК "RussNeft"), the total recoverable reserves - 7,1 million tons.
The gas turbine electric power plant of Zapadno-Poludennoye field is also located in Nizhnevartovsk District, KhMAO; it was built in 2003 and has a capacity of 7,5 MW.
ОАО "Tomskneft" is the owner of 31 production licenses concerning oil and gas in the Tomsk Region and KhMAO, and of 7 exploration licenses with further hydrocarbon production. Besides, "Tomskneft" is the operator for the development of two license areas of ОАО "NК "Rosneft" (РТС: ROSN). The remaining recoverable reserves of the enterprise make more than 300 million tons.
The co-owners of "Tomskneft" on principles of parity are Oil and Gas Company "Rosneft" and "Gazprom Neft" (RTS: SIBN).
