Nizhnevartovsk District, KhMAO. In 2011 more than 7 million 600 thousand rubles will be directed by Nizhnevartovsk enterprises of NK “RussNeft” for the agricultural and rural development of the village Variogan and for the financial support of its citizens.
Concern for indigenous people is a priority of social policy of the subsidiary enterprises of NK «RussNeft»: ОАО MPC «Aganneftegazgeologia», ОАО «Mokhtikneft», ST ZAO «Goloil» and ООО SP «Chernogorskoye». Financial assistance to the national village Variogan is allocated annually as part of the socio-economic agreements between Nizhnevartovsk enterprises of NK "RussNeft" and administration of Nizhnevartovsk district, as reports the press service of OAO MPC "ANGG”.
In 2011 the oil companies have already invested 1 million 130 thousand rubles for the socio-economic development of the national village. Funds were directed for the restoration of the museum complex of Ethnographic Park Museum, for installation of video control systems in the kindergarten “Orlyenok”, for the purchase of snowmobiles, for the run of competitions in national sports and for the organization of summer holidays for the privileged children.
“Aganneftegazgeologia” annually increases compensatory payments to the representatives of the low-numbered peoples of the North. In the sphere of the production interests of the company there are 8 tribal lands, inhabited by 26 families. With each family the oil workers have concluded individual agreements, taking into account their real needs. By the end of 2011 the oil workers will transfer 6 million 566 thousand rubles to the housefathers of the tribal lands, which is by 4 million more than in 2010. These funds are also used for the purchase of electric generating plants, motor boats, outboard motors, snowmobiles, fuels and lubricants – all that is vital for the indigenous people leading traditional way of life.
Besides, the oil workers of “Aganneftegazgeologia” also give New Year gifts to the children of indigenous inhabitants. This year the traditional gifts will be given to 267 children of pre-school age and school-aged kids.
