New generation of professionals

On the eve of the new academic year "Molodezhka" wrote about five Ulyanovsk graduates who entered  the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M.Gubkin in Moscow. The young people received the chance to study in one of the leading universities of the country thanks to participation in the educational program of OAO ANK “RussNeft”.
Hardly had the newly made students finished a semester, when a new party of senior pupils was  enlisted in the regional preparatory branch to get ready to enter the university.
The educational project implemented by OAO NK "RussNeft" together with RSU  of Oil and Gas named after  Gubkin, started in 2010, and training the future experts in the of oil and gas industry became its main task.
For children of workers of the Company’s subsidiaries  in Saratov there was set up a the regional preparatory division of the university on the basis of one of the subsidiaries.  Thirty senior pupils from Saratov and Ulyanovsk became participants of this pilot project. One may say for certain about these children– lucky beggars: they were trained by the best teachers of the university, and besides, all expenses on preparation and training in the RSU of  Oil and Gas named after Gubkin were undertaken by “RussNeft”
And again beneficent initiative of the president of the company Michael Gutseriev was crowned with success: the guys are studying, the new generation of oilmen is being formed. But "Russnefti" is never satisfied with what has already been achieved. In this academic  year the educational program is spinning up: the second regional preparatory division has been opened in Raduzhny. Now the project covers not only the Volga region, but Western Siberiaas well. Besides, for  this second intake  the list of the specialties has been extended, so the future   students hade a wider choice of  the future professions.
More than 50 senior pupils from the Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Tomsk regions and KhMAO have already become participants of the project.
Two eight-day sessions are in stake for the recruirs, the first one will begin very soon on November, 28th, the second is planned for February.
From the Ulyanovsk block of subsidiaries of "RussNeft" 11 children were enlisted in the regional preparatory division in Saratov. We hope that senior pupils will pass all stages of preparation and the entrance examibations in the university as  successfully, as their predecessors. To support the guys we have found out, how the lucky ones that have entered the RSU of Oil and Gas named after I.M.Gubkin this year were going on.Our first-year students yet have not passed induction by fire, that is, the first session, but, certainly, they remember the first day at the university.
- The solemn ceremony of the rite of passage to students with the president of OAO NK "RussNeft" Michael Gutseriev present, was held  on September 1st, Mr. Gutseriev himself handed over to the guys vtheir student's cards and has addressed them with with wordsof support – says Irina Korolyova, the chief of department of preparation and development of the personnel of "Ulianovskneft".
Our guys got to different groups on the course, but each of them has already managed to show his/her worth. . So Olga Medvetskaya has been appointed the head of her group, and Vladislav Vedmanov who entered the department of "Geology", is now succeeding  in mathematics though at school his  results were lower – that’s what  good preparation means! Teachers of the  university mark Vlad as a very capable student, successful also in sports life of the alma mater- he has  become the captain of the department  the volleyball team.
Anton Markelov, who has been dreaming of studing at the unioversity from his 8thgrade , admits what "it is not too difficult" to study - it is not for nothing that he had been preparing so diligently.
- Our children have considerably matured, - Irina Korolyova continues. - they began to reason differently , became more serious, more independent. On the New Year's vacation they will come home to Ulyanovsk, we will by all means arrange their a meeting with present senior pupils so that they could tlee about their experience, their impressions. Study at the Gubkin University, certainly, gives invaluable knowledge for acquiring the job of an oilman.
The young experts will apply the received skills in their nativeland, undergoing practice and working at the subsidiaries of "RussNeft" which has given them the chance to be trained in a prestigiousuniversity.
It should be noted that it not the unique program in the sphere of education, initiated by Michael Gutseriev. Among Michael Safarbekovich's educational projects  there are foundation of of the Higher school of innovative business at the Moscow State University named after M.V.Lomonosov for training high quality experts for oil and gas branch, building of Oil and Gas Institute at the Udmurt state university,  as well schools, lycées, other educational centers at territory of Russia and the CIS countries.
