OAO NK RussNeft and Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas continue to implement joint educational project
Saratov. On February 6 regular session of Regional Preparative Faculty of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas was opened on the basis of OAO Saratovneftegaz, OAO NK RussNeft subsidiary. 30 senior class students of Saratov and Ulyanovsk Regions, the territory of Company subsidiaries presence, continue training for future studies at the University.
Most of them are children of the workers from RussNeft subsidiaries: OAO Saratovneftegas and OAO Ulyanovskneft located in the Volga Region. Moreover this school year 7 students who got recommendations from the metropolitan districts administration of Saratov Region, where OAO Saratovneftegaz industrial facilities are located, will become RPF students. These students are winners of various competitions and olympiads, who earlier demonstrated great knowledge in profile subjects.
The joint educational project of OAO NK RussNeft and Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, initiated by NK RussNeft President Mikhail Gutseriev, started as early as in 2010. Now it covers not only Volga Region, but also Western Siberia: similar Regional Preparative Faculty (RPF) is opened in Raduzhny city on the basis of OAO Vareganneft, NK RussNeft subsidiary. Senior pupils from Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area and Tomsk Region entered upon studying there.
The project`s strategic target is to prepare highly skilled specialists for further work at OAO NK RussNeft and its subsidiaries. It`s success is obvious: according to the results of the Unified State Exam as early as in September 2011 13 people matriculated to Gubkin Russian State University. Undoubtedly another positive aspect of the project is that it provides equal opportunities for the future graduates to enter one of the leading Russian Oil and Gas Universities regardless of their place of residence - whether it is a large regional center or rural area.
At the Regional Preparative Faculty the profile subjects (mathematics and physics) are taught by Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas lecturers. Tailored study programs provide not only 2 off-site sessions during 2011-2012 on the basis of Saratovnedra training center (subsidiary of OAO Saratovneftegaz), but also serious individual senior students work by correspondence supervised by the lecturers.
Studying at RPF will allow eleventh graders to prepare for passing the Unified State Exam at school and future entering to Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas in a most effective way. The preuniversity training at RPF if paid for by the Company.
Organization of the RPF work is another important stage of OAO NK RussNeft program implementation for training young highly skilled specialists, who will be called for by holding enterprises and oil-and-gas industry at large after getting the diploma.
