Raduzhny, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District. Regional Preparatory Department (RPD) for future students of the Russian State Oil and Gas University named after I. M. Gubkin completed its work in Raduzhny. The trainings were carried out from February 6 – 13 on the basis of OAO Varioganneft, a subsidiary enterprise of OAO NK RussNeft. The students of the second session became children of workers from the Company subsidiaries of West Siberia Group: ОАО Aganneftegazgeologia, ОАО Varioganneft, ОАО NAK AKI-OTYR.
The joint educational project of OAO NK RussNeft and the Russian State University named after I. M. Gubkin, initiated by Mikhail Gutseriev, the President of the Company, started as early as 2010. The first RPD for future students of the University was opened in Saratov.
Its students became mainly children of workers from the Volga region subsidiaries of the Company - ОАО Saratovneftegaz and ОАО Ulyanovskneft. Thus, 13 children who successfully finished pre-university training courses and passed the USE became first-year students of the Russian State Oil and Gas University named after I. M. Gubkin in September 2011.
In 2011 the joint educational project expanded its boarders. Now the RPD training courses are attended not only by children from the Volga region but also from Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District and the Tomsk region. RPD provides for two off-site sessions. The first session finished in November 2011. RPD main goals are to get the future students acquainted with oil and gas industry, to improve future students academically and to prepare them for passing the USE. All training courses are composed in accordance with the special education program, and provide for serious independent work of senior high school students under the control of the lecturers from the Russian State Oil and Gas University named after I. M. Gubkin. Provided that the children pass exams successfully they get an opportunity to become students of the departments they have chosen. Besides, the Company is going to finance their education in full.
Implementation of the joint educational project of the Russian State Oil and Gas University named after I. M. Gubkin and OAO NK RussNeft will make it possible to achieve its major objectives – to prepare highly skilled specialists for oil and gas industry and in future to provide them work in the Company subsidiaries.
