Photonic and IR-technic scientific and educational centre opens in Bauman Moscow State Technical University with support of OAO NK RussNeft
Moscow. Solemn ceremony of opening of the Photonic and IR-technic scientific and educational centre was held today in Bauman Moscow State Technical University. The ceremony was participated by Dmitry Medvedev, President of Russia; representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences and major RDI’s of Russia and USA; known scientists.
The project will be implemented under cooperation between Bauman Moscow State Technical University and OAO NK RussNeft. The Photonic and IR-technic scientific and educational centre will be opened in Bauman Moscow State Technical University within 3 years (2011-2013) within a special target-oriented program. The centre will allow to create a world-class scientific engineering school in the field of optical electronics in Russia.
Five research & development laboratories with up-to-date optical electronic equipment have been set up in the Photonic and IR-technic scientific and educational centre within the project. Leading national and international scientists became their research managers.
The project is partnered by major foreign universities, like AIZU Specialized University for computer information technologies (Japan); University of Central Florida and Orlando (USA). The Russian partners are Institute of nanotechnologies of microelectronics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of radiotechnics and electronics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Scientific technological centre of unique instrumentation.
OAO NK RussNeft provides full funding for the construction and repair of premises, purchase and installation of research and office equipment, personnel salaries. The oil holding will allocate 204 million rubles for implementation of the project within 3 years. The Company became a pioneer of the major project for Russia – return of the best national scientists from abroad and creation of the optimal conditions for their fruitful work in the motherland. Therefore, RussNeft greatly facilitates to implement innovational scientific researches in various fields of science and technology.
Implementation of the project will allow not only to create principally new technologies and instruments excelling their world prototypes but also to rise the scientific engineering school in Russia to a greater level.
