OAO AKI-OTYR continues exploration at Shapshinskaya group of fields
Khanty-Mansiysk. OAO NAK AKI-OTYR (subsidiary of NK RussNeft) continues exploration in the fields of Shapshinskaya group. As of today, the field seismic exploration works by the 3D common depth point method have been completed at Verkhne-Shapshinsky and Sredne-Shapshinsky license areas. The obtained seismic data are currently processed and interpreted as a complex.
The main goal of the cameral phase of the exploration is to update the geological model of the explored fields. The obtained results will allow to increase the efficiency of the production drilling planning for a number of years as well as to mitigate the risk of low productive wells drilling. Besides, the complex study of the data will help to identify new oil promising locations for exploration drilling.
The exploration works will be continued this year. Implementation of the scheduled program will ensure increment of the recoverable reserves in the fields of Shapshinskaya group in amount of 2 million tons, according the press service of OAO AKI-OTYR.
