OAO Ulyanovskneft starts the implementation of a project on the equipping oilfields with high-speed data transfer channel

This need arose in connection with the commissioning of automatic control systems for technological processes of oil production. In particular, the project has been developed on the organization and development of own high-speed wireless channels of communication with remote oilfields of Russian-based developer and manufacturer of broadband wireless access systems, carrier-grade.
At this point, permission has been received to use radio frequency Channel 5.4 GHs. In addition, sector antennas of base stations have been installed with 180 degree coverage and a range of up to 25 kilometers, which makes it possible to cover the vast majority of oilfields. Remote oilfields offer point-to-point communication channels with bandwidth of up to 54 Mbps.
Introduction of high-speed data transfer channels will promptly process the information from oilfields, organize at remote sites corporate email, telephone contact with integration into existing corporate IP-telephony, video and data transmission system of Automated Control (АСУТП).
