OAO NK “RussNeft” together with Gubkin Oil and Gas University successfully implement a joint educational project
Saratov. Results of the latest stage of the joint project between OAO NK “RussNeft” and Gubkin Oil and Gas University, initiated by Mikhail Gutseriev, President of the Company, have been summarized.
10 graduates of Saratov region high schools and 6 graduates of Ulyanovsk region high schools became first-year students of the University within the budget-funded program. The order of their matriculation was signed by V.G. Martynov, Oil and Gas University Rector, on July 30, 2012. The applicants’ pre-university studies and their further university course will be funded by OAO NK “RussNeft” which is validated by execution of three-lateral agreements on purposeful preparation of future specialists.
The young people have had preparation studies in 2011-2012 to be enrolled in one of the most prestigious universities of the country in the regional preparation center of the University hosted by OAO “Saratovneftegaz” (OAO NK “RussNeft” production subsidiary). Training in the regional preparation center is traditionally performed by Gubkin Oil and Gas University professors for the third year yet. Specially developed training programs provided for not only two on-site sessions in Saratov, but also serious individual remote work of the applicants under the professorial control.
Training in the regional preparation center allowed the high-school children to get the most efficient preparation for the Uniform State Exams in the high school and following successful enrollment into Gubkin Oil and Gas University.
It is to be noted that the first-year students this year count not only children of employees of “Saratovneftegaz” and OAO “Ulyanovskneft” but also high-school honorable and best graduates from municipalities of the corresponding regions of operations of the “RussNeft” subsidiaries. The candidates were selected based on recommendations from the local administrations. This is another real confirmation of the NK “RussNeft” business social responsibility policy implementation.
The joint educational project of OAO NK “RussNeft” and Gubkin Oil and Gas University started as early as in 2010. Nowadays, it covers not only the Volga region but also the West Siberia: similar regional preparation center was opened in Raduzhny being hosted by OAO “Varioganneft”, NK “RussNeft” subsidiary.
Management of operation of the regional preparation center is another critical stage of implementation of the holding’s program for preparation of young highly qualified specialists who will eventually be procured in the assets of OAO NK “RussNeft” and in the industry in general.
