OAO NAK AKI-OTYR implements a safety program

Khanty-Mansiysk. OAO NAK AKI-OTYR, subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, has performed certification of its work places for working conditions. A committee of representatives of Regional Safety Center (accredited certifying organization of KhMAO Yugra) and the Company’s subsidiary performed a comprehensive inspection of the working conditions and assessed the safety hazards and provision of the employees with personal safety equipment.

256 work places of managers, white-collar and blue-collar (oil fields) workers have been certified so far. The working conditions expert review was performed in accordance with the work places certification regulations; the assessment was positive in general. The results of the certification are acknowledged by the employees who sign the work place certification punch lists.

In accordance with the findings of the certification, action plan was developed for improvement and enhancement of the working conditions. It was decided to provide guarantees and benefits to the employees working in unhealthy and (or) hazardous conditions. Assessment of compliance of the working conditions to the state regulations allows a more efficient control over the work places conditions. Life and health preservation, industrial safety, environment protection in the areas of OAO NAK AKI-OTYR operation are the major priorities and the most important factors for successful development of the company. This work will be continued in 2013.
