Varioganneft has put the horizontal well at Zapadnoe-Varioganskoe field into operation
Raduzhny, KhMAO. OAO Varioganneft has put horizontal well No. 15917 at pad No. 159 at Zapadnoe-Varioganskoe field into operation. The daily well flow rate amounts to 419 tons with 2% water cut. The current well flow-rate amounts to 453 tpd. The horizontal wellbore area length which tapped BV10 formation made up 330 m.
Drilling of this well and 3D seismic exploration let expand the reservoir boundary BV10 at Zapadnoe-Varioganskoe field. The work performed will secure implementing of the large-scale exploration drilling programme in this area.
Zapadnoe-Varioganskoe field was founded in 1982. Starting from the beginning of the development, oil production makes up 13 544 tons and operational oil stock amounts to 461 wells at the moment. Drilling of new wells at this licensed area lets the company secure stable growth of oil production.
Varioganneft will continue implementing the programme of operational drilling at the fields of Variogan Block. 14 new wells at Tagrinskoe field, 7 wells at Novo-Aganskoe field and 9 wells at Zapadno-Varioganskoe filed will be put into operation by the end of the current year. The daily production increase will make up 2700 tpd for the end of the year by means of new wells introduction.
