In all sincerity

The Deputy General Director of the company informs that they have revised the charity policy recently. In general the annual sum, targeted towards charity does not decrease. On the opposite, it increases, but the perspective has changed. Of course, oil companies have always responded to the majority of the aid applications coming from civil organizations, hospitals, kindergartens, schools, universities, cultural institutions. Each sum was not that big, but in the end all the money was spent without being effective. Even these insignificant sums of money eased the case of the objects traditionally suffering from the shortages of budget allocations. Nowadays the company devotes more attention to solution of the problems that will be positive for the society. More than that, now they not only satisfy the majority of the incoming applications, but we initiate interesting projects ourselves.  In 2011 OAO RussNeft, its subsidiaries and affiliates directed in general around 20 mln Rub. at social and economic programmes, charity and sponsor projects implementation on the territory of the region. In 2012 this amount will stay the same.
It is worth to mention the some considerable charity initiatives of OAO Sarativneftegaz. For example, children’s camp Rovesnik, built by the oil companies in 1986 witnesses “theme organized shifts”. Hundreds and hundreds of students of Saratov regional junior club of physical culture Urozhay, members of the amateur performance groups of Saratov regional center of folk arts and famous recreation center Russia, students of Interregional school of arts Volzhskaya raduga 2012 and Saratov academy of arts in the name of A.P. Bogolubov could not only spend their holidays effectively in one of the most comfortable camps of the region.
In September Saratovneftegaz became the financial partner of the project Big Reading, which has been held for the 7th year in a row in the Saratov Scientific Library and Russian State Library of Foreign Literature in the name of M.I. Rudomino. The project involves presentation of new books, meetings with cultural elite representatives, meetings with political and public activists. Within this project the company contributes to supplying city and village libraries with new books.
Two more large-scale projects in the sphere of culture performed in Saratov this autumn would not be performed without the financial aid of the oil producing companies.
RussNeft was a general sponsor of the tour of the Academic Symphonic Orchestra of Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic Society in the name of D.D. Shostakovitch under the management of Yury Temirkanov, the USSR People’s artist. This musical event was another vital stage of the III International contest of the folk song singers in the name of the great singer Lidiya Ruslanova, opened this Monday. 98 singers from 30 regions of Russia will take part in this contest.
The solemn ceremony of the opening of Archangel Mikhail Church in Saratov region took place on the 1st November. RussNeft directed 1 mln Rub. as a financial support.
In August 2012 OAO Saratovneftegaz targeted towards 13 operated municipal districts of Saratov region financial aid for the national holiday of the 1st of September. All the money was aimed at organization of events devoted to the beginning of the new academic year. In May the same aid was received by the veterans of war on the eve of the Victory Day.
In May 2012 charity aid in the amount of 800 thousand Rub. was targeted towards restoration works in the recreation center in the old village Rybushka, in Saratov municipal district.
In August 2012 Staropoltavsky municipal district center of Volgograd region witnessed the opening of the universal gym. Construction documents were ordered and completed due to charity donations in the amount of 400 thousand Rub. allocated by the oil company in 2010 let. The gym will give the village residents an opportunity to take up basketball, volleyball, handball and mini-football. Soon construction of the swimming pool will begin in Staraya Poltavka also with direct participation of Saratovneftegaz.
One of the most significant projects is construction of the unique kindergarten with places for 320 children. The project is being implemented now in Saratov in village Yubileyny with the aim of social infrastructure development. RussNeft made a decision to direct a considerable amount of money at construction of the most populous, young and promising districts of the regional capital. This will let considerably decrease the social pressure linked to the shortage of places in the kindergartens of Saratov.
Everything mentioned above can be fully incorporated into the term “social responsibility”. The victory of Saratovneftegaz in the regional stage of the Russian contest Russian social responsible organization can be counted as an important claim for participation in its federal stage.
