RussNeft and Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University carry on the educational project
Raduzhny, Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district. Regional preparation center for future applicants to Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University will open in Raduzhny on November 5.
According to the Press Service of OAO Varioganneft, the classes will be held from November 5 through November 12 at OAO Varioganneft within the joint educational project of the oil holding and the main oil and gas university of Russia. The right for education was granted to the high school graduate children of employees of the West Siberian assets of the Company: OAO Varioganneft, OAO Aganneftegazgeologia, OAO NAK AKI-OTYR and others.
The joint educational project of OAO NK RussNeft and Gubkin University, initiated by Mikhail Gutseriev, President of the Company, started in 2010 in the Volga river region at OAO Saratovneftegaz. In 2011, it covered both the Volga river region and West Siberia: similar regional preparation center was opened in Raduzhny at OAO Varioganneft, subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft.
The strategic objective of the project is to prepare top-class specialists for further employment with OAO NK RussNeft and companies within its corporate structure. The success of the project is evident: 34 applicants who successfully passed the preparation course are now students of the first and second years of the oil and gas University.
Around 60 applicants have enrolled into the preparation center this year, 30 of them being high school graduates from Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district – Yugra and Tomsk (children of employees of OAO AKI-OTYR, OAO Varioganneft, OOO Tomskaya neft).
The regional preparation center training on the major disciplines (mathematics and physics) is given by professors from Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University. Specially developed training programs provide for both off-site sessions within 2012-2013 and serious independent remote work under supervision of the professors. The training at the preparatory center will allow the high school graduates to prepare most efficiently for the high school uniform state exams and eventual enrollment into the oil and gas University. OAO NK RussNeft undertook to pay for the applicants training at the preparation center.
Management of operation of the regional preparation center is another critical stage of implementation of the holding’s program for preparation of young highly qualified specialists who will eventually be procured in the assets of OAO NK “RussNeft” and in the industry in general.
