Saratovneftegaz sponsored Volga Rainbow – 2012 interregional creative school
Saratov. OAO Saratovneftegaz, production subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, was the general sponsor of Volga Rainbow – 2012 interregional creative school for talented children, young people and teachers playing folk instruments which was held in Saratov from October 28 through November 6.
29 students of educational institutions of culture and art – winners of regional, all-Russia and international competitions – and their teachers from Saratov, Engels, Volsk, Marks, Krasnoarmeisk, Novouzensk, Ivanteevka and Kuznetsk (Penza region) participated in the event.
The purpose of the creative school, which is held under patronage of the Ministry of culture of Saratov region for the second time this year, is to create more opportunities for professional and artistic development of young musicians and artists including residents of remote areas of the region. The hosts of the event – Saratov regional educational methodical center and Regional center for support to talented children – with financial partnership of OAO Saratovneftegaz – also ensured all conditions for experience exchange among the teachers working with the talented young people, improvement of their pedagogic skills and motivation of their professional activities.
Training in the creative school was held in parallel with another significant event in the cultural life of Saratov region – Young talents of Russia IV interregional festival.
The beginning musicians of the creative school took the most active part in this project’s activities – shows, concerts, psychological trainings, workshops, creative meetings as well as open lessons and master-classes given to young talents by skillful pedagogues: professors, docents and senior teachers of St-Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov state conservatory, Gnesinykh Russian music academy, Sobinov Saratov state conservatory.
Svetlana Krasnoschekova, minister of culture of Saratov region, reminded in her greeting speech about the inestimable help provided by OAO RussNeft and OAO Saratovneftegaz to carry out unique artistic projects. Without their financial support, there would have been neither tour of the honorable Russian group – Academic symphonic orchestra of St-Petersburg Shostakovich philharmonic under direction of Yury Temirkanov, people’s artist of the USSR, nor successful realization of the VII All-Russia competition of folk music interpreters after Ruslanova in Saratov.
OAO Saratovneftegaz is one of the major benefactors in the region. In 2012, the company took the first place in the regional level of the all-Russia competition “Russian organization of high social effectiveness” in the nomination “For participation in solution of social problems of the territories and development of corporate charity”.
OAO NK RussNeft and its production subsidiary OAO Saratovneftegaz carry out systematic charitable activities in the regions of their operation. Significant material aid is given to the social sphere institutions inherently lacking budget funding: hospitals, sport clubs, cultural centers, schools and kindergartens. Essential funds are allocated to refurbishment and upgrade of schools, kindergartens, stadiums, parks, squares, construction of playgrounds, realization of creative festivals, sport competitions and children summer recreation. Serious assistance is also provided to the Russian Orthodox church for reinstatement and reconstruction of churches.
Around 20 million rubles overall will be allocated by the end of 2012 by the Company and its subsidiaries and affiliates to implement social and economic programs, charitable and sponsorship projects in the areas of the region in accordance with the Cooperation Agreement between Saratov region Government and OAO NK RussNeft.
