Khanty-Mansiisk. Within the framework of geographic information systems (GIS) development project the company is undertaking integration of the data of the drilling data management system WellTracking into the system of subsoil use monitoring (SibGeoProject)on the basis of OAO NAK “AKI-OTYR”, a subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft.
The system of subsoil use monitoring is designed for ensuring operative access to initial and analytical information on subsoil use which permits to control fulfillment of license agreements and regulate the use of mineral resources. Thus the system ensures information support for managerial decisions in the sphere of subsoil use at all the stages, from prospecting, exploration, production to transportation and sale.
The geographic information system WellTracking 3.0 on the basis of ArcGIS (ESPRI) is used on the corporate level for visualization of 3D data and effective management of drilling spatial data. It ensures exact spatial positioning of license areas, cluster sites, wellheads, well trajectories, layer intersection points as well as interpreting and presentation of 3D spatial data. The set of 3D analysis instruments permits to exercise complete control over all the stages of the drilling process. For example now one can exercise interactive automatic control over well trespassing the borders of the license and the mining allotment.
At the present stage the drilling data are being verified and actualized. More than 300 exploratory, prospecting, and operational wells are filed with the spatial database as well as 20 newly drilled wells.
The project of WellTracking introduction into the system of subsoil use monitoring is a pilot project. The use of such drilling data management program complexes is planned for all producing subsidiaries of OAO NK RussNeft.
