The first compliance audit of Environment and Labor Protection Management System completed at OAO NK RussNeft
Moscow. The first compliance audit of Environment and Labor Protection Management System (hereinafter System) has been completed at OAO NK RussNeft. The audit was conducted by the auditors from Bureau Veritas Certification. It covered the central office of the Company and a number of its upstream subsidiaries incorporated in the structure of the Holding, in particular, OAO NAC Aki-Otyr, OOO ZMB and OAO Ulyanovskneft.
The main aim of the audit was to confirm that the existing System met the requirements of the Russian legislation and the international standards ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
The Holding has been forming the System for several years. In the course of this work The Company carried out the analysis of the existing labor and environment protection system, evaluated ecological and industrial risks. Besides, it developed corporate documents of the Management System, carried out trainings for top and middle managers, personnel of the subsidiaries. A number of measures was taken for improvement of labor conditions of employees, industrial injuries and professional deceases prevention. In 2011 upon completion of the process of introduction of the System at the Holding and the Companies within the corporate structure of OAO NK RussNeft the Company obtained Certificates ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007. They confirm that the existing Environment and Labor Protection System meets the requirement of the Russian legislation and the international standards ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
According to the results of the first compliance audit no non-conformance to the requirements and standards was found. The Company showed satisfactory maintenance and improvement of the Environment and Labor Protection Management System. The auditors pointed out that in 2012 within the frames of constant improving and upgrading of the Management System the Company carried out corporate documents updating. The second compliance audit of the Management System is scheduled for November 2013.

Prolongation of the validity period of the certificates of conformity to the international standards ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 is the evidence of efficiency of the created corporate System
