Moscow. In 2013 OAO Varieganneft (PTC: VARN) (OAO NK RussNeft (PTC: RUSN) subsidiary, member of West Siberian group) plans to produce 3.352 million tons of oil in the oilfields of Variegan block in 2013- reported RussNeft.
Production growth is planned to be secured by drilling 16 new well in the license areas of Variegan block.
In 2012 RussNeft increased production at Variegan block by 8.7 %- up to 3.123 million tons. Consequently in 2013 the production increase may make 7.3 %compared to the previous year. The company explains the last year production increase by successful implementation of production drilling program and interventions.
Commissioning of 33 wells secured additional production of 351 thousand tons of oil, including commissioning of Novo-Aganskoe oilfield which gave 53 thousand tons of oil. Average daily production rate of the new wells made 77 tons.
The implementation of 244 workover programs also contributed to production increase. The largest additional production was achieved as a result of fracturing- more than 79 thousand tons per year. Additional 76.5 thousand tons of oil was produced due to well re-completion and 50 thousand tons - due to well flow stimulation.
Generally the company estimates that implementation of workover program in 2012 contributed to 292.6 thousand tons of oil production. OAO Varieganneft develops Varieganskoe, Novo-Aganskoe and Valyuninskoe oilfields.
