OAO NAK AKI-OTYR summarized its HSE activities results in 2012

The last year witnessed insurance of hazardous facilities, expert review of industrial safety of equipment, buildings and facilities, industrial safety and environment upgrade of personnel, working places certification. Zero fires, emergencies, accidents and professional diseases shows efficient work on prevention of HSE violations.

Thus, around 17.5 million rubles were allocated for the activities to improve the labour safety and mitigate the professional risks.

Special attention was given to the environment in the areas of operation. Conditions of the atmospheric air, soil and snow coverings, surface and underground waters were monitored. Around 5 million rubles were allocated for this purpose.

Mitigation of hazardous emissions into the atmosphere was one of the priorities. The company managed to reduce this indicator by more than a half in average along the year. The positive trend was achieved due to a higher ratio of the associated gas utilization. 464.5 million rubles were allocated overall for such purposes.

Personnel’s life and health protection, industrial safety, environment preservation in the areas of OAO NAK AKI-OTYR operation are the main priorities and major conditions for successful development of the company.
