Varioganneft increases pipeline reliability
Raduzhny, KhMAO. OAO NK RussNeft subsidiary OAO Varioganneft started implementing comprehensive programme of pipeline reliability improvement. Therefore the company plans to allocate around 680 mln rub which exceeds 2012 funding.
Varioganneft will allocate around 48 mln rub. to perform the pipeline safety inspection which will allow to identify the most worn-out sections of the pipeline. Pipeline network repair programme will be based on its results.
The company intends as well to purchase efficient corrosion reduction inhibitor. Above 27 mln rub. will be allocated to this purpose, exceeding 2012 funding by 7.8%. The activities targeted at application of the inhibitors will allow the joint stock company to secure protection against pipeline corrosion and reduce their rate of wear. At the moment the inhibitors are used at the 262 km pipeline network.
Apart from that the company plans to perform repair of the significant section of the pipeline within the programme. 600 mln rub. will be allocated to this direction.
Implementation of the comprehensive programme of the pipelines reliability increase will allow OAO Varioganeft to improve environment in the operating area, minimize negative environmental impact, as well as products loss due to equipment failures and pipeline leak rate decrease.
