Khanty-Mansiysk. OAO NAK AKI-OTYR, producing subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, completed construction of the gas pipeline section at Nizhne-Shapshinskoye field. The project was implemented under the program for effective utilization of the associated petroleum gas. The new pipeline is destined to supply gas from the Shapshinskaya group fields to the ZAO YugraGasProcessing (ZAO YGP) compressor station.
The length of the inter-field gas pipeline from the Verkhne-Shapshinskoye booster pump station to the ZAO YGP block compressor station at Nizhne-Shapshinskoye field is 52 km, the design capacity is 84 mcma. The new gas pipeline section is the second train from the Nizhne-Shapshinskoye field oil treatment facility to the ZAO YGP block compressor station comprising a mixing chamber, knock-out drum, metering unit and other processes. The metering unit will allow to monitor the gas volumes supplied from the Shapshinslaya group fields to the ZAO YGP gas transport system.
OAO NK RussNeft views the development of the Shapshinskaya group fields as a strategically important project for the Company. Implementation of the gas program in OAO NAK AKI-OTYR will continue in 2013 allowing to increase the associated petroleum gas utilization to 95% as well as to improve the environment situation at those licenses.
