Saratovneftegaz supported a children environmental festival

Children on holidays in Rovesnik recreation camp participated in creative contests aiming to form an active environmental living position with the youth. The camp was built by Saratov oilmen on the Volga river bank in Marksovsky area as early as in 1986.

By the way, implementation of the 2012-2014 Cooperation Agreement between the Government of Saratov region and OAO NK RussNeft allowed 360 schoolchildren from Marksovsky area, where OAO Saratovneftegaz traditionally operates, to recreate in Rovesnik this summer. Around 8 million rubles have been allocated for this purpose in 2013 by OAO NK RussNeft within its charitable program.

Besides participation in “green Saturday” trips for improvement of the camp, removal of rubbish from the forest and the Volga river bank, the young friends of the nature submitted for the jury their handicrafts, poems, cross-words, paintings and posters dedicated to the love to the homeland and careful attitude to its natural wealth.

Aleksandr Razuvayev, Vice-director of Rosprirodnadzor for Saratov region, Tagir Latypov, Director General of OAO Saratovneftegaz, and Vladimir Andreev, Head of Marksovsky municipality administration, took part in summarizing the creative contests results within the solemn ceremony of the environmental festival close-out.

Addressing the young participants and winners, the adults thanked them for partial attitude to the environment. They emphasized that the readiness for involvement into environmental activities is an integrated part of education of a Russian citizen, loving its local homeland and its big country in fact, not in word.

Authors of the best works in all age grades were awarded with art and sport kits, various table games, skate-boards and up-to-date music players.

OAO NK RussNeft and its producing subsidiary OAO Saratovneftegaz consistently carry out their charitable activities in the areas of operation. Significant material aid is given to the social sphere institutions inherently suffering from budget allocation shortages: hospitals, sport clubs, cultural centres, schools and kindergartens.

OAO Saratovneftegaz is one of the major benefactors in the region. In 2012, the company won the regional phase of all-Russia contest “Russian organization of high social effectiveness” in nomination “For participation in addressing the social problems of territories and development of the corporate charity”.

One of the most important projects being implemented in Saratov in the area of the social infrastructure development is construction of a unique kindergarten for 320 children in Yubileiny. The President of NK RussNeft decided to allocate significant funds for construction of a kindergarten in one of the youngest and promising areas of the regional centre. The budget of the facility is 185 million rubles, its start-up is scheduled for Q4 2013. This will allow to considerably reduce the social strength due to dramatic shortage of Saratov kindergartens accommodation capacities.

Besides, the Company and its affiliates and subsidiaries have allocated around 20 million rubles overall for implementation of socio-economic programs, charitable and sponsorship projects in the region as per the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of Saratov region and OAO NK RussNeft, the press-service reports.
