RussNeft sponsored International Artistic School Volzhskaya Raduga – 2013.

OAO Saratovneftegaz (OAO NK RussNeft producing subsidiary) provided all the needed conditions for the members of the Artistic School. They were provided with the comfortable living houses at recreation center Landysh (Marksovsky district) as well as with the assembly hall for their rehearsals, which is located not far from the children’s vacation camp Rovesnik.

The governor of Saratov region Valery Radayev welcomed the members of the project at the opening ceremony of the Artistic School and the International Festival Music is the Language of the European Young People. The opening ceremony took place on September 12 at the regional center for support of the gifted children. He wished the talented young people a success and stressed that great music has always been a reliable basis of the real mutual understanding between the people from different countries. Several young musicians from distant Saratov districts were awarded by the governor the certificates for individual governor’s student grants.

The members of the Artistic School walked around the downtown of Saratov, visited excursions in the Museum of Arts named after Radishchev and in Victory Park. While preparing for their performance the children were able to do both, to rehearsal and to acquire new professional skills. Master classes were held for them by the professors from Saratov State Conservatory named after L.V. Sobinov.

Young musicians and their tutors took part in the events devoted to celebration of the Day of Marks on September 14. The members of the project playing folk musical instruments (button accordion and piano accordion) formed a joint orchestra. The orchestra performed during one hour and half at an open square in Ekaterina II Park in Marks). OAO NK RussNeft and its subsidiary OAO Saratovneftegaz regularly perform charity activities in the regions of their operation. Many social sphere objects suffering from shortage of budget assignments, such as hospitals, sports clubs, culture centers, schools and pre-schools, are substantially funded. OAO Saratovneftegaz is among the major donators of the region. In 2012 the company appeared to be the winner according to the results of the regional stage within the Russian contest Russian Highly Socially Responsible Company, category Participation in the territory problems solutions and corporate charity development.

In 2012 OAO NK RussNeft was a general sponsor of the tour of the honored Russian band, academic symphony orchestra of Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic Society conducted by the National Artist of the USSR, Yury Temirkanov. An extraordinary musical event (tours of the orchestra are rare, it was the first time the orchestra performed in Saratov) became another important stage of the III International Festival of Mstislav Rostropovishch, organized on the initiative of the Russian Ministry of Culture. OAO Saratovneftegaz, in particular, sponsored the VII Russian Folk Song Contest named after L.A. Ruslanova, which comprised 98 singers from 30 regions of Russia. The authoritative musical contest named after the legendary woman born in our hometown, the great Russian singer Lidiya Ruslanova, has taken place in Saratov since 1993 under patronage of the Russian Ministry of Culture. Last year substantial funds were allocated to Saratov regional Philharmonic Society named after A.Shnitke in connection to celebration of its 75th Anniversary. Substantial funds were also allocated to Saratov State Conservatory named after L.Sobinov, one of the most ancient musical institutions of Russia celebrated its 100th anniversary since the day of its foundation. OAO NK RussNeft, its subsidiaries and affiliated companies allocate annually around 20 mln rubles to implement social and economic programs, charity and sponsorship projects on the territory of Saratov region.
