Varioganneft improves the pipelines reliability
Raduzhny, KhMAO. OAO Varioganneft, subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, continues to implement its program for improvement of reliability and maintenance of integrity of the oilfield pipelines.
The program includes replacement, repair, upgrade and industrial safety expert reviews of pipelines; inhibition and monitoring of the corrosion rate.
According to the press-service of the company, 753 million rubles were allocated by the company for this purpose.
In the current period of 2013, the company performed an annual industrial safety expert review of 156 km of pipelines which allowed timely identification of the pipelines wear major causes at an early stage.
Besides, the company repaired and upgraded 33 km of pipelines using pipes with enhanced corrosion resistance.
232 tons of inhibitors were pumped into the oil gathering system during the current period in order to slow down the corrosion rate at the oilfield pipelines. As of today, the overall length of the pipelines protected by inhibition in the company is 263 km.
Implementation of the complex program for the pipelines reliability enhancement will allow OAO Varioganneft to improve the ecological situation in the operation area, minimize its impact on the environment and decrease the products losses by means of reduction of equipment failure rates and pipeline leak rates.
