"Varioganneft” is implementing a power-saving and energy efficiency program at Variogan block oilfields

The set of actions implemented as part of the program during the year to date includes shutdown of the non-efficient wells stock with total power 1,905 kW, optimization of electric parameters at ESP unit – 303 kW. Reactive-power compensation at the well-pads of Tagrinskoye oilfield permitted to save 1000 thousand kWh for the sum of more than 2.9 million rubles. Electric power costs reduction by 5,414 kWh for the nine months of 2013 enabled the company to save more than 19 million rubles.
During the current year Varioganneft will go on implementing the principle trends of the power saving and energy efficiency program, including shutdown of the non-efficient wells stock; replacement of ESP  and heating cables with rod well pumps, as well as replacement and reconstruction of electrical equipment which will permit to save 6,820 thousand kWh for the sum of more than 22 million rubles for 2013 in total.
The company is planning to pay special attention to rational electric power use in future too.
