OAO Varioganneft wins the XII International Ecological Action “Save and preserve”
Raduzhny, KhMAO. OAO Varioganneft, subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, was awarded with a certificate of the Winner of the XII International Ecological Action “Save and preserve” with the title of “The best oil&gas producing company of Yugra in relation of environmental protection” among sixty two oil&gas producing companies of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District - Yugra in the nomination of “The company producing over 5 million tons of oil per year”.
The company allocates, on annual basis, dozens of millions of rubles for implementation of the program for environmental safety during oil production, mitigation of the environmental impact, monitoring of the environment at the facilities of Variogan oil block, thus providing enormous contribution into the ecology in the whole region.
In addition, the company’s employees actively participate in environmental activities giving their own input into the nature preservation through upgrade of the fields’ areas, planting trees near offices and camps.
Enhancement of the ecological conditions is a priority of the corporate HSE Management System of OAO NK RussNeft. In 2014, the Company intends to ensure compliance with the established rates of admissible environmental impact. Fulfillment of the environmental management tasks as per ISO 14001:2004 and implementation of the programs for enhancement of the environment at the fields of Variogan oil block are important components of OAO NK RussNeft’s HSE Policy.
