OAO Varioganneft implements energy saving program at the fields of Variogansky oil block.

Saving fuel and energy resources, energy efficiency increase of oil production method are the key aims of the program.

The activities within the program performed during the previous period this year included shut down of the wells with general capacity 2,704 kW. They also contained improvement of electric parameters at the ESP unit, which stands for 522 kW. Power factor compensation at Tagrinskoye field pads allowed saving 88.5 thousand kW/hour electricity. Saving 3, 464 kW/hour electricity allowed saving above 13 mln rubles for the company.

Varioganneft will continue major directions of energy saving program and energy efficiency increase until the end of the year.

It is planned to replace the equipment in the reservoir pressure maintenance system with the higher capacity equipment. Improvement of production and oil treatment systems is scheduled as well. It is also planned to perform replacement and reconstruction of electrical equipment which allows saving of 7, 406 thousand kW/hour in the amount of 24 mln rubles in total in 2014.
The company is going to devote particular attention to the rational energy utilization.
