Raduzhny, KhMAO. OAO Varioganneft, subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, continuously implements a comprehensive program for improvement of the reliability of the pipelines at the fields of Variogan oil block.
The company has allocated about 61 million rubles for this purpose during the current period of 2014.
The comprehensive program for the pipelines integrity includes monitoring, diagnostics, protection, repair and replacement of pipelines. The company has carried out industrial safety review of 187 km of pipelines, provided inhibition protection for 162 km of pipelines and replaced 21 km of pipelines during the past period of the current year under the program.
Varioganneft constantly upgrades the pipelines quality control system introducing new methods of diagnostics and corrosion protection. The innovational approach ensures maximal control of the pipelines conditions, preventing from possible disintegration at the earliest stages. This mitigates the environmental impact as well as reduces expenses on the company’s pipelines maintenance, Alexandr Tropin, First Deputy Director General – Chief Engineer emphasized.
OAO NK RussNeft is a vertically integrated oil holding within the top ten major oil and gas companies in Russia. For 2013, the company’s production was 2.89 million tons. The 2014 plan is to produce 2.65 million tons of hydrocarbons. The company’s personnel is 1271 employees.
