OAO Varioganneft implements a comprehensive pipelines integrity program

The company has allocated about 61 million rubles for this purpose during the current period of 2014.

The comprehensive program for the pipelines integrity includes monitoring, diagnostics, protection, repair and replacement of pipelines. The company has carried out industrial safety review of 187 km of pipelines, provided inhibition protection for 162 km of pipelines and replaced 21 km of pipelines during the past period of the current year under the program.

Varioganneft constantly upgrades the pipelines quality control system introducing new methods of diagnostics and corrosion protection. The innovational approach ensures maximal control of the pipelines conditions, preventing from possible disintegration at the earliest stages. This mitigates the environmental impact as well as reduces expenses on the company’s pipelines maintenance, Alexandr Tropin, First Deputy Director General – Chief Engineer emphasized.

OAO NK RussNeft is a vertically integrated oil holding within the top ten major oil and gas companies in Russia. The structure of the Company includes 24 producing assets located in 11 regions of Russia, CIS countries and Eastern Africa. The head office is in Moscow. The overall production by the Company’s assets is 13.6 million tons of oil and 2.150 bcm of gas. The total recoverable reserves of OAO NK RussNeft are over 600 million tons of oil and 140 bcm of gas. OAO Varioganneft develops six fields in Kahnty-Mansiysk and Yamalo-Nenets autonomous districts: Varioganskoye, Novo-Aganskoye, Valyuninskoye, Tagrinskoye, Zapadno-Varioganskoye, Yuzhno-Yarainerskoye, Northern part of Tagrinskoye fields. For 2013, the company’s production was 2.89 million tons. The 2014 plan is to produce 2.65 million tons of hydrocarbons. The company’s personnel is 1271 employees.
