Exercises for oil spill response were performed in NAK AKI-OTYR

Both workers of the oilfield and OOO Zaschita Yugry, a subcontractor for prevention and fire control took part in this event. The fire control time amounted to 30 minutes. The employees of emergency service and the management of OAO NAK AKI OTYR.
 “We would like to ensure that everything is working correctly” these words started the exercises at Pad 5; the representatives of Chief department of the Emergency service were very determined to start the exercises. 15 workers of the oilfield took part in the exercises, 15 special equipment units were involved as well as personal stuff of OOO Zaschita Yugra and special equipment for oil spill response.
According to scenario the supervisor of the call center was informed at 10:30 that three wells at Pad 5 were depressurized and the produced oil started to come out to the surface. The supervisor immediately informed the emergency service and the officials of OAO NAK AKI-OTYR about the accident.
The technical personnel started to act according to the plan of accidents response. The spill control time amounted to 30 minutes. Boom containments were installed, banking was made and fire trucks were on duty at the territory of the pad. All the employees worked so as though they it was happening for real. One could clearly see how tired they were heavy vehicles was also involved at the end of the operations in order to fasten the process of banking.
It seems everything has been done successfully but the supervisor rang the alarm again. The oil destructed the booms and expanded to the boundaries of the Pad. The workers of Nizhne-Shapshinskoye oilfield directed by Sergey Romanchuk moved from the inactive spot to the new accident spot.
It was a sudden change for the representatives of the emergency service, and the observers had to change the place and moved to the sand barrier. Everything was similar to the real life, they registered gas accumulation, laid booms and made banking. Employees of OOO Zaschita Yugry arrived on time, they prepared frame tanks for collection of oil products. Central Engineering and Technical Service  was informed about all the actions. The second danger was also managed control, but it was not the last accident. Suddenly one of the operators felt dizzy and fainted. But even this situation is considered in case of such accidents as medical assistant was on duty at the place of exercises and he provided an urgent medical help.
At the final stage Svyatoslav Nikolayevich Reglis, the Deputy of Head of the Emergency Service at Khanty-Mansi Administrative District – Yugra remarked that all of the employees worked as one team  and wished them professional success and operations with no accidents.
