By 2006 RussNeft Plans to Double its Oil Output in Ulyanovsk Region

In 2004 subsidiaries of RussNeft in the Ulyanovsk region produced 600 thousand tons of crude oil. The oil production in this region is conducted by three subsidiaries of the company – JV Nafta-Ulyanovsk ZAO, Ulyanovskneft OAO and Nefterazvedka OAO. Head of the company Mikhail Gutseriev said that by 2006 RussNeft is going to double its oil production in Ulyanovsk region. It was also decided about laying a pipeline between Samara and Ulyanovsk regions.

It’s interesting to know that the new management of the Ulyanovsk region has confirmed its intention to further cooperate with Russneft. On the 25th of January in Ulyanovsk there was held a meeting of the regional leaders with the managers of the oil company. It was decided at the meeting that apart from oil production the company should occupy itself with designing the oil pipelines, transfer pump stations, crude oil collection and Transneft check-in center, as well as enhancing the scope of drilling.
