RussNeft applies to FAS for purchase of Aganneftegasgeologiya and Tomskaya Neft.

NK RussNeft OAO has applied to RF Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) for permission to purchase Multitype Company Aganneftegasgeologiya OAO and Tomskaya Neft ZAO.

NK RussNeft OAO has applied to RF Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) for permission to purchase Multitype Company Aganneftegasgeologiya OAO and Tomskaya Neft ZAO, a FAS representative informed Interfax. As reported earlier according to the information of the Fuel and Energy Complex’ Central Dispatcher Board the production of these two enterprises has been consolidated as part of RussNeft beginning from April 2005.
Previously a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) was after 100 percent stake of Tomsk Neft. A respective application was submitted to FAS by CNPC in the end of 2004.
As of February 2005 25.8122 percent stake of Aganneftegasgeologiya belonged to a public enterprise called “Generations Fund Executive Directorate of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug”; another 22.8122 percent stake was owned by Invest-Oil (Moscow), and still 16.01 percent stake – by Sergey Demyanov, a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
Tomskaya Neft, a small oil company, is licensed as subsoil user in the area of the Yuzhno-Myldzhinsky subsoil lot.
RussNeft is made up by 22 oil producers including  Aki-Otyr OAO, Archneftegeologia ZAO, Belkamneft OAO, Belyie Nochi OOO, Benodet Investments Ltd, Varieganneft OAO, Volganeft OAO, Goloil ZAO, SP Nafta-Ulyanovsk ZAO, Comnedra OAO, Kondurchaneft OOO, Mokhtikneft OOO, Nefterazvedka OAO, Penzaneft OAO, Regional Oil Consortium, Severnoyeneftegaz OAO, Sobolinoye Group,Tomskaya neft ZAO, NNK Udmurtskaya OAO, Ulyanovskneft OAO, Uralskaya Neft OAO, SP Chernogorskoye, all found in Western Siberia, Tomsk, Penza, Samara, Novosibirsk, Ulyanovsk, Bryansk, Archangelsk regions, Republics of Komi and Udmurtia, as well as in Byelorussia. In 2004 RussNeft produced 10 million tons of crude oil; its recoverable reserves reaching 450 million tons.
