Saratovneftegas has finished the first step of introducing international standards
Saratov subsididiary of Oil and Gas Company RussNeft – OJSC Saratovneftegas – has completed the first stage of introducing international standard ISO 14001 “Ecological Management System” and international specification OHSAS 18001 “Occupational Health and Safety Management System” – the process within the framework of the corporate program being implemented by the company.
In June the specialists of Saratovneftegas underwent the course of training for meeting the standards. At present compliance of normative and production base of with international norms is being assessed.
At the plant we were told that “assurance of safe and accident-free functioning of the equipment in the course of production activity is one of the priorities at OJSC Saratovneftegas and informed that investments into this sphere keep growing.
This year the costs for occupational safety and labour protection will amount to almost 30 million rubles. Special attention will be given to provision safety clothing and shoes and personal protective equipment for the employees.
Another priority with Saratovneftegas is improvement of social and working conditions of the personnel, reconstruction and construction of new administrative buildings and control rooms, premises repair. The plant is going to spend 53 million rubles for these purposes this year.
Saratovneftegas give due attention to replacement of worn pipelines, disposal of oil sludge, re-cultivation of land and minimization of environmental hazard of production activity in general. In 2006 environmental costs will amount to 25,5 million rubles. Maintaining the pipeline systems will cost more than 53 million rubles and it will minimize the risks of accidents and oil spills.
At the present moment development of system monitoring of the atmosphere, soil, air, underground and surface waters, radiation safety is under way at all Saratovneftegas facilities. The program is planned to start working by the end of the year and the data obtained by means of it will be used for minimization of environmental hazard of production.
Together with establishing of technological conditions all the facilities of Saratovneftegas regularly hold drills and preventive measures aimed at checking the level of training of the employees and their interaction with relevant services in non-standard situations close toreal emergencies. .
