RussNeft to Install Gas Service in Remote Areas.
Oil Company RussNeft includes but not is not limited to business activities in all regions of its operation. It cannot help but do so for advances and problems of the regions are an important part of employees’ lives. A major welfare project of the company in Orsk this year is provision of gas supply in the Pobeda village.
- Words are not enough to express my gratitude,- Polina A. Lysenko, a 74-years old Pobeda villager says smiling and weeping. – We have been living with transported gas since 1963, when we built our house. In 1983 we were supplied with cold water thanks to the Chkalov plant, and now we get gas via pipelines. My husband died 14 years ago and I have lived alone. The children help me. They provided central heating at once and have installed a storage water heater. I have returned from hospital and it is such a delight to see all this. You can have a wash when you want to. I just cannot express my gratitude for all this. So we have been supported both materially and morally. One of these days natural gas was supplied to the Ternopolskaya street via pipelines. It is a great joy for the inhabitants! The provision of gas supply in the Pobeda village was started in 2004. It is the major project in Orsk. It plans to supply gas gradually to 132 private houses and 350 municipal flats. As part of welfare cooperation of OAO Orsknefteorgsintez (subsidiary of oil and gas company RussNeft) and the administration of the town ONOS took the major part of the expenses – it is a question of million of rubles. The town also allocates funds but they are substantially less. Deputy head of the Oktyabrskiy region A. M. Tarasov, who has great experience in provision of gas supply and headed the Sovetskiy region for a lot of years – points out specifically efficient work of petrochemists.
- If they have promised to help, they keep their word, - he says – both financially and organizationally.
Gas has been supplied to 100 houses in the Pobeda region by today. By the end of October all the village is scheduled to be provided with an external gas pipeline. Massive work! By the beginning of 2007 all the ground-floor buildings will be supplied with gas.
At the moment, preparatory work are being completed on the Kazachiy pereulok. Then connection of double-stored municipal buildings will be fulfilled. Here the pipelines will be connected to gas cookers and the inhabitants themselves will decide whether they will install gas water heater or switch to gas heating, denying the central one then. (In Pobeda the batteries are often cold for the coolants from the heat electric generation plant do not bear the heat up to this remote area). The people are given an opportunity to benefit from all the achievements of the civilization: gas, heat, hot water. They are just to choose. They could not believe it just 10 years ago, could they?

- We have been accustomed to balconies of course. But they either being installed at the wrong time or we are afraid not to pay in time – then we would be left without gas at all. ..Now we have gas at our houses. We will be able to make pies, have the houses heated, go to sauna, without being concerned that the ballon may terminate. We have lived with transported gas for 25 years; now we will get used to live in comfort. I just cannot believe it!
