«Jurassic layer». Special coverage:
ОАО «Aganneftegasgeology», an affiliate of «Russneft», will have produced more than 2 million tons of oil by the end of this year. As compared to last year daily oil production has increased more than twice as much. Good oil is produced from wells at the Roslavlskoye oilfield. It is especially expected to have good results at the Eastern Roslavlskiy block where seven wells are already drilled
Yevgueniy Shatskiy, General Director of ОАО MPK « Aganneftegazgeology»:
« We have slightly reduced decline of wells due to geological and engineering operations. We have good results for hydraulic fracturing, for example. It is important that we have already started drilling at the Eastern Roslavlskoye block and we are very pleased with the output. Resources turned out to be 2-2,5 times as much the expected results».
Lavish oil reserves are discovered on the eastern block of the Roslavlskoye oilfield. There have been conducted complicated operations to cross over three layers. It was the first time the experts drilled so deep down: 3 thousand 700 meters. Oilers call this method “Jurassic layer”, as they compare themselves to archeologists who discovered thousand year old untouched antiquity. Six wells are drilled and prepared for production next to the first test well. Geologists think that the “Jurassic layer” is a unique phenomenon in the district of Nizhnevartovsk. At the moment preparatory works are being held there for industrial production of oil. The company’s experts are preparing the license and oilers are studying new methods, technologies and equipment which will be used at the block. Today the biggest share of production comes from 55 wells at the Roslavlskoye oilfield. Andrey Agapov, an operator of oil and gas production, provides service for one of the biggest clusters. He has 19 oil wells under his control. Every time making the round he takes everything necessary – a pen and a notebook to make notes. Detection devices usually show the condition in every well.

«Technical devices hold control of everything. If measures are slightly lower, it means that we have a problem. This might be the indicator of water cut or the influence of weather on production. If a well comes out of action we must know the reason. To know means to prevent.
There is so much oil that the booster pumping station does not cope. After drilling oil comes clean, without water. We know all figures. Now the figures contain more zeros».
When there was heavy oil stream there appeared problems with oil pumping through the gathering oil pipeline. That is why there was immediately started the construction of a new branch with bigger carrying capacity of seven km length. It will connect the Roslavlskoye field with the central gathering point.
Dmitriy Kutyga, deputy head of the oil production section:
« When new wells had been put into operation we had to construct pressure oil pipeline to increase the volume of pumped oil. Now it is planned to install new pumps at the Roslavlskoye and Western Mogutlorskoye oilfields and obsolete pumps are being dismantled».
Now at CPF of the Western Mogutlorskoye field new pumps of higher power are being prepared to replace the obsolete ones. Welders are constructing metal frames for the pump equipment so that it could be possible to start the installation of huge unit meeting all standards.
Vladimir Kozlov, expert on preparation of oil stabilization:
«... If we plan certain operation we have immediately all equipment. There is no waste of time. For example: we have increased the production – we change the equipment and build additional pipelines.».
The other day oilers tried another innovation that is chemical agent that can raise the speed of oil pumping along the line. Oil flow has been increased on 30%. That means that all produced oil will be transferred to the gathering oil pipeline and will not be accumulated in stock tanks.
Besides an inspection was held at the central gathering point to check what agents are prepared for the winter period. The experts have no doubt that good preparation for the winter will contribute to the increase of oil production

Vladimir Kozlov, expert on preparation of `oil stabilization:
« We are 90% ready for the winter. We have everything necessary for that: equipment, heat pipelines, coating. The winter is long. If we are not ready for it, our oilfield will also have problems».
Serguey Zhukov , a welder, is working on the area he is responsible for. Together with his fellow – worker he is repairing the heat pipeline. They cover the pipe with frost-protecting material. Safety measures should be taken care of so that people should not be hurt. Hot works are conducted only in the presence of firemen.

« The most important for us are accident-free work and safety regulations. People do not have to be hurt. We can repair the equipment but we cannot return people’s life».
Everything has to work properly: no breakdowns and accidents. Everybody has one and the same target that is why the production is growing, works are expanding, and equipment is being renewed. At the beginning of this year the company acquired two more areas: Chukhlorskiy and Amputinskiy. As oilers says, they are in for great work and great oil.
