"Orsk chronicle"
The second extention of flotation was brought into operation at "Orsknefteorgsintez". For realization of the project "RussNeft" Company has spent about 70 mln Rubles. New equipment will significantly improve the quality of sewage waters, which the plant throws off onto the disposal facilities of the town.
- Actually, town disposal facilities are the property and area of operations of ONOS, - says S. I. Komarov - the Head of the Department for Labor Safety, Industrial and Environmental Protection at "Orsknefteorgsintez". - We clean industrial wastes from our plant at our local disposal facilities. In accordance with standards, we continue cleaning on the facilities of biological cleaning, which are used to 90 % at the town utility fluids (only 10 % of total volume get there from NPZ.) It comes out, that bio-oxidation facilities have very little in common with oil refining, but the plant maintains them - it was formed so historically.
The second extention flotation, that was installed with the help of English specialists at the local disposal facilities of ONOS, is both the latest technologies in operation, and max exclusion of "human factor". As it is known, it is "human factor" that, at times, is a "weak unit" in the processing chains of any activity.
Flotation process is practically fully automatic. Flocculent, raising up together with air bubbles, adsorbs on its surface oil product, which is in water. All this takes place in the totally enclosed depurators - there's no contact with atmosphere, and thus, there're no sickly exhalations.
"Vemko" equipment, made by a world known company "Petreko", is rated for the volume of max sewage waters arising at ONOS. Its production activity is 700 Cubic metres per hour. Cleaning goes on more efficiently: if nowadays in 1 litre of sewage waters storage the allowed norm is 25 mg, then a new equipment brings this figure to 5-7 mg per litre (!), that meets present environmental requirements.
Proceeding then to biological treatment plants, sewage waters from ONOS don't put too much pressure on the system: microorganisms, implementing oxidation-reduction processes, perform posttreatment without strain, which means more qualitatively.
Giving significant funds to ecological projects, "RussNeft", represented by its subsidiaries, influences the nature of soil, air and water in its workplaces. This refers to Orsk as well. Even more, ONOS takes legal and financial responsibility for all sewage waters, being thrown off by the town. Treatment capacity is 37 mln Cubic metres per year. Thus, petrochemists are responsible for the large volume of sewage waters. So, purification of water, being thrown off by the town into the river Ural, is on the agenda. Next in turn is the usage of quartz filters and new adsorbent at biological treatment plants …
