Ecological program at work
In 2008 "RussNeft" invested more than 116 million Rubles in the ecological programs of its subsidiary enterprise ОАО «Orsknefteorgsintez». This allowed to continue realization of measures in three principal directions: protection of water, air and land in the zone of Orsk Refinery influence.
Orsk.Secondary flotation, which costs more than 63 million Rubles, was put into operation in the local waste treatment plants of the enterprise and allowed to abate total petroleum hydrocarbons in waste water from 25 up to 5 - 7 mg per liter (that is much better than industry average index).
The natural result of the efforts of the Company in the sphere of protection of air was evaporation reduction by 100 tons per year of each several 38 reservoirs having floating roofs - pontoons.
The best part of Company's funds was spent for elimination of waste. 25 % from 45 thousand tons of oil refuse burnout, refined in the plant, has been recycled.
5,2 ha of regenerated soil from industrial waste grounds within 5 km from Orsk were disinfected, cured and handed over to the town.
The long-running jobs on recultivation of Sarinskoe pits with total area of 13 ha, where from 1942 the bleaching clay for the production process was produced, were put through. Lands suitable for grazings and seeds now will be put to good use by the agricultural producers.
