A new rust preventer is applied at the oilfields of OAO “Varioganneft”
A new corrosion inhibitor is applied at the oilfields of OAO “Varioganneft” )a subsidiary of OAO NK “RussNeft”, says the report of the company. Application of the inhibitor will permit to inhibit spread of corrosion at the pipelines. Variogansky, Tagrinsky and Zapadno-Variogansky areas were determined as the objects for corrosion inhibitor protection for oil-gathering system.
Introduction of the reagent permitted to lower the speed of corrosion spread while dosage of the inhibitor was reduced by 25%.On the whole the expenditures f “Varioganneft” for the program of anti-corrosion protection of the pipeline stock were reduced by 20%, says the reports of the company.
OAO “Varioganneft” is integrated into OAO NK “RussNeft”. The company is develping eight oilfields in Khanty-Mansi and Yamalo-Nenets Okrugs: Varioganskoye, Kalinovoye, Yuzhno-Kalinovoye, Novo-Aganskoye, Valiuninskoye, Tagrinskoye, Zapadno-Varioganskoye, Severo-Yarainerskoye. In 2008 annual production level amounted to 2 million tons of oil.
