"Aganneftegazgeologia" conducts ecological monitoring in its oilfields

Nizhnevartovsk District, Yugra. ОАО МPK «Aganneftegazgeologia» (the subsidiary enterprise of Oil and Gas Company «RussNeft») implements environmental activity program. Work on environmental protection is carried out in several directions. One of them is ecological monitoring of the state of the natural environment in the areas of activity of the enterprise.

As it was said to "UralInformBureau" in press-service of the Company, in all license areas where "Aganneftegazgeologia" carries out its production activity there are carried out investigations of water, air, snow, soil and bottom deposits state. The results of ecological monitoring allow the enterprise to put in perspective the sate of the natural habitat. Thus, in 2008 following the results of monitoring in the atmospheric air, maximum allowable concentration and tentative safe exposure levels were within normal limits. In underground water supplies there were no signs of human impact.
Every year the enterprise gives significant funds to the environmental actions. Only this year there was invested more than 20 million Rubles in implementation of environmental activity program, some part of this money was invested in ecological monitoring. In 2009 work on ecological monitoring is going on.
«Aganneftegazgeologia» concluded an agreement with Nizhnevartovsk department of «The Centre of Laboratory Analysis and Technical Metrology», which provides to the enterprise laboratory-analytic maintenance. The specialists of the Centre carry out investigations of the components of the environment in all license areas of "Aganneftegazgeologia": Roslavlskoye, Zapadno-Mogutlorskopye, Chukhlorskopye, Eguriakhskoye and Mokhtik license areas.
