"Belkamneft" has put into operation the third stage of oil pipeline "Vyatka-Ashit" in the value of 308,58 million Rubles

Izhevsk. It is said in press-release of "RussNeft", that ОАО "Belkamneft", the subsidiary enterprise of OJSC Oil and Gas Company «RussNeft» " (RUSN01), has put into operation the third stage of pipeline "Vyatka – Ashit" with the underwater passage over the river Kama.

The length of the passage made 3,594 km, estimated capacity of pipeline – 7,5 thous. m3/per day; operating pressure – 0,4-24,0 МPа. Investments in construction made 308,58 million Rubles.
As it's said in the report, the construction of the underwater pipeline with the application of controlled directional drilling allowed to significantly reduce the work period, did not entail changes in navigation of water zone, did not invert natural biological balance and provided full ecological safety of the water protection zone and coastal strip.
The project of underwater passage “Vyatka-Ashit” over the river Kama has got favorable conclusion of the State expert assessment department. The applied technology of “pipe-in-pipe” passage construction has significantly increased the level of environmental safety of the unit, allowed to eliminate the threat of penetration of oil products in water, and also made more producible the operational process of pipeline.
ОАО "Belkamneft" is engaged in oil production and treatment on the territory of Udmurtia, Bashkortostan and Kirov Region. In 2008 production activity of the group of Companies ОАО «Belkamneft» was carried out in 37 oilfields and 5 subsurface sites (which include 7 oilfields), which conform to 56 license areas. Total capital investments made 2 289, 55 million Rubles. In 2008 the group of companies «Belkamneft» has produced 3 931,320 thousand tons of oil.
