Saratov. In Oil and Gas Company "RussNeft" a lot of attention is paid to the education of the younger generation of the oil workers.
OAO "Saratovneftegaz", the subsidiary enterprise of oil and gas company "RussNeft", successfully implements the project of the education program together with I.M. Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (Gubkin University). The lecturers from one of the leading universities of the country have given a series of classes for the children of company employees from Ulyanovsk and Saratov: 28 young people are now one step closer to their coveted title - "student".
At the final meeting of the management of OAO "Saratovneftegaz" and the lecturers from Gubkin University with the students and their parents there sounded sincere words of farewell to prospective students. The General Director of OAO "Saratovneftegaz", Tahir Latypov, said that the young participants of the project have chosen a significant and promising career, that's why their approach to learning should be responsible.
Let us remember: For more than 60 years OAO "Saratovneftegaz" is engaged in exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbon deposits. Here are produced millions of cubic meters of gas and thousands of tons of oil. There's a lot of work ahead, so the future generation of oil workers is also expected to extract natural riches.
- This project was developed on the personal initiative of the President of oil and gas company "RussNeft" Mikhail Gutseriev, - explained Tahir Latypov. – We're proud that our enterprise has been chosen as the regional preparatory department. We have a good training center for personnel on the basis of which there have been carried out classes. I'm sure that it's a long-term project because the need for qualified personnel is and will be big. Today "RussNeft" operates in 12 regions of the country. Perhaps, in the nearest future such projects will be implemented there as well. These preparatory departments for students help young people to get acquainted with the requirements of the major universities of the country, to raise the level of training, to successfully pass Unified State Examination (USE) and then to enter a university. We're ready to take them for practice and in future to provide job.
The management of the Training Center of OAO "Saratovneftegas" appreciates urgent desire of the young people to learn and work in oil and gas industry. And it means that functioning of the regional preparatory department does make sense. Though the trainings are already over, the specialists from the Center are going to maintain their relations with the future professionals and further to maintain their USE results and their entrance to the universities.
The prospective change of the oil workers, in their turn, didn't stint on the words of gratitude to their tutors: all gladly shared their impressions.
- I attend these studies in Saratov for the second time, - says Artyom Shamkhaev from Ulyanovsk. – I like it here a lot. Mathematics and physics are taught in here very extensively. This will help to realize my dream: to pass the USE with the best results and to enter Gubkin University. Besides I met here new friends.
Andrey Zinoviev from the settlement of oil and gas industry Stepnoye that is situated in the Saratov Region, has grandparents who have been working in the oil industry, and now his parents are also working in the same sphere. And he himself wants to become the successor of the glorious dynasty.
- When I knew about this educational project, I was really happy and my parents too. The classes turned to be very interesting and informative. Here I was able to compare my skills with the requirements of the lecturers from Gubkin University, to communicate with them, to better prepare for the USE, on the results of which depends my entrance to the University.
The parents' eyes alerted with hope. They understood that their children are going to start an adult life and, of course, they wished them success from all their hearts. Evgeniy Kovalenko, the son of Alexey Kovalenko who's working as a mobile unit operator in OAO "Saratovneftegaz", also attended these classes.
- The guy is learning well, this year he's going to finish school. I would really like to see him working in our industry. When I knew about this project I offered my son to attend these classes and thus prepare for the entrance exams to the university. I think it's a good idea. I'd like to say "Thank you" to the organizers of this project.
The company has made every effort for the students to get the necessary store of knowledge for admission to Gubkin University. For their better preparation there was involved a senior lecturer from the department on higher mathematics, Tatiana Alekseeva, and Professor from the department of Physics, Oleg Bodnar. Now it's up to the students. The next stage is the USE, on the results of which there'll be made a decision about entrance. "RussNeft" takes all expenses for education. As a rule, Gubkin University prepares good professionals. For example, one of the leading young specialists of OAO "Saratovneftegaz", Ivan Zaitsev is a graduate of the university, won the 11-th All-Russian competition "Engineer of the Year".
Together with the intensive course of theoretical disciplines the participants of the educational project visited one of the production units of OAO "Saratovneftegaz". The organizers also prepared some leisure activities for young people: excursions to the historical sites of ancient Volga River city, joint visits to the theaters and museums. All these activities enhanced the creative atmosphere that prevailed among the participants of the educational program. And that, on the whole, only helped to acquire and to reinforce newly received knowledge. Besides, accommodation of students (children from Ulyanovsk lived in a comfortable industry-sponsored sanatorium) contributed to successful project implementation.
The result of this work is encouraging: the company's future, the future of the industry is in good hands! The start for the upbringing and training of the prospective highly-qualified professionals was given. Good luck!
