OAO “Belkamneft” optimizes costs on electricity and power purchase
Izhevsk. From 1 January 2011 OAO “Belkamneft”, a subsidiary enterprise of OAO NK “RussNeft”, started purchasing electricity at wholesale market for electricity and power. Entry to wholesale market will allow the enterprise to reduce the costs significantly on purchasing electricity and power and to receive additional benefits.
This has become possible due to implementation of Automated information-measuring system of commercial energy metering (АИИСКУЭ). Today in OAO “Belkamneft” the system covers 90 points of delivery of electricity. Via these points 97% of total electricity consumption is purchased.
This system has high accuracy of records and makes it possible to make exact predictions on amounts of purchased electricity on wholesale markets. In 2010 the activities aimed at improving energy efficiency let OAO “Belkamneft” lower the expenses for electricity by 1.8 million rubles.
