Varioganneft increases the number of teams carrying out capital workover operations in the fields of Variogan block

Raduzhniy, KhMAO. Beginning March 2011 ОАО «Varioganneft» increases the number of teams carrying out capital workover operations in the oilfields of Variogan block. This information was reported to the Agency for oil and gas in the press-service of an enterprise.

At the moment in five oilfields of Variogan block capital workover operations are carried out by 16 teams of contractor companies, beginning March 2011 it's planned to increase the number of teams up to 18. Due to the increase of the number of teams, by the end of the year the enterprise is going to perform 215 well workovers and to put into operation 29 wells with their further development after drilling.
As part of program on capital workover operations, ОАО «Varioganneft» is going not only to increase the number of teams performing well workover but also implements effective technologies with the use of new equipment in order to shorten the terms of workover realization and to reduce the costs of operations. In particular, in order to prevent the leakage of production strings there were widely used packers with cable termination, which allow to eliminate the need for traditional methods of squeeze jobs. Since last year, when performing works on accident elimination in the wells, OAO "Varioganneft" uses the services of suppliers of specialized equipment that allows to significantly reduce the period of repair works on wells.
The whole complex of measures on capital workover operations will allow the enterprise to put into operation 82 wells in the oilfields of Varioganneft block.
