MPC “ANGG” is improving personal protection equipment for operating staff
Nizhnevartovsk district, KhMAO. OAO MPC “Aganneftegasgeologia (a subsidiary of OAO NK “RussNeft”) is implementing new technologies and equipment securing labor safety of the operating staff. The activity is being carried on in accordance with the general corporate policy of OAO NK “RussNeft” in the field of environment protection, labor protection and the Health, Safety and Environment Management System, based on international standards ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
According to the information obtained by “UralInformburo” at the press-service of “Aganneftegasgeologia” “field” tests of noise-attenuating earphones were held at the central production facility of Tchernogorskoye oilfield. This protection equipment is used by the operators who work at the areas with higher level of noise, e.g. operators of technological pumps, gas piston and diesel power plants, maintenance men.
Out of the three models submitted for testing the oilmen chose the model Tactical XP. The earphones are easy to be fixed on a helmet, they are equipped with a built-in microphone, compatible with the radio station. All the useful sounds, for example, the supervisor’s commands are amplified, while unwanted sounds are deadened. The risk of developing professional deseases, connected with high noise level is reduced to minimum due to use of such earphones. In the near future the new models will be supplied to the oilfields of “Aganneftegasgeologia”.
Upgrading of labor protection system is on of the priorities of the joint stock company development. The company annually enhances financing of the programs aimed at introduction of various modern individual protection equipment, specialized workwear and footwear. In 2011 more than 10.5 million rubles will be assigned for this purpose. In 2012 the company intends to assign more than 12.1 million rubles for improving the methods of protection of the staff from harzardous production factors,
