OAO Saratovneftegas held the XХIX Sports Day

For the victory in five kinds of sports – ski races, table tennis, checkers, chess and throwing darts – fought 12 teams from all workshops and subsidiary enterprises of OAO Saratovneftegas. All in all more than 200 sportsmen and fans took part in the Sports Day.

Competitions among structural subdivisions of Saratovneftegas are traditionally held twice a year – in February and August. They are preceded by departmental competitions, the winners of which protect the honor of their teams at Games.

Corporate sport is one of important parts of social policy of OAO Saratovneftegas. Such events allow each employee feel part of a large team-oriented collective with common goal. Of particular importance is the fact that the Games are held on equal terms for regular employees and managers of the enterprise. OAO Saratovneftegas allocates funds in their social program to organize trainings and competitions, upgrade the equipment and purchase prizes.

Oilmen support sports not only by way of organizing inter-corporate competitions. In 2011 OAO Saratovneftegas within the frames of its charity programs provided significant financial support to youth sports schools and clubs of Saratov region: the means were allocated to renew their facilities as well as participation of youth sports teams in competitions of All-Russia level. 

Moreover, thanks to sponsor support of OAO Saratovneftegas, in 2011 there were held such significant events for the region as the urban cultural and sport holiday “Saratov trail”, Open Championship and Championship of the Saratov region on horseback riding dedicated to the 50^th anniversary of Y.A.Gagarin flight into space. The current year OAO Saratovneftegas plans to continue charitable activities, where the “sports segment” will still continue to get significant part.
