OAO Ulyanovskneft continues the implementation of energy-efficient ESP pumps
Ulyanovsk. OAO Ulyanovskneft, a subsidiary enterprise of OAO NK RussNeft, continues the implementation of energy-efficient ESP (electrical submersible pump) pumps at producing oilfields.
Electrical submersible pump units are designed for extraction of oil from wells.
Total net capacity share of serial ESP units does not exceed 40% as their exploitation results in a loss of much of the electricity.
The use of energy efficient ESP units with improved efficiency makes it possible to reduce these losses and, accordingly, reduce oil production costs.
Currently energy-efficient ESP units are mounted at three wells of Birlinskoye, Novobesovskoye and Baranovskoye oilfields. Totally in 2012, it is planned to pump them down into 7 wells, thereby saving up to 8.5 million rubles.
