A subsuduary of RussNeft increased compensation payments to indigenous peoples of KhMAO in 2012 by 10%

“More than 3.3 million rubles has already been transferred to the heads of tribal lands. The funds are assigned for purchasing fuels and lubricants, building materials, boats and outboard engines, snowmobiles, workwear, autonomous power stations and other needs”, says the report.
It is noted that Aganneftegasgeologia  is engaged in production of hydrocarbon stock on the areas which belong to tribal lands of 26 families of representative of indigenous peoples of the North. The compensation payments are made on the basis of federal and regional laws and model agreements signed with each of the families living traditional lives.
The subsidiaries of RussNeft operating in Nizhnevartovsky District annually provide financial support to the national village of Variogan. In 2011 the companies transferred more than 1.3 million rubles. The money was assigned to national sports development, purchasing of national boats for the village  sportsmen, as well as restoration of constructions at the ethnographic park-museum.
OAO MPC Aganneftegasgeologia is one of the major oil and gas producing assets of RussNeft in Western Siberia. The company counts 84 discovered oilfields. The net effective pay is evaluated as more than 25 million tons of oil. The producing well-stock counts 77 oil producing wells. The company’s volume of production in 2011 exceeded 693 thousand tons of oil. Last year the company performed at its oilfields 29 geological and engineering operations. Commissioned 2 new horizontal wells, extra production amounted to 146.7 thousand tons.
