OAO Saratovneftegaz sets up its own System for associated gas accounting within the gas program implementation

Easy to use, cheap and multifunctional System, operating on commercial basis, will be a helpful tool to gather and monitor information on volumes of produced and utilized associated gas both online and for any specific period. All obtained data are stored in the common database and their visualization (for example, as a mnemonic diagram, chart or table) will be done through a WEB portal. The System covers and ensures transparency of all stages of associated gas production, transport, processing, utilization and supply to consumers. Besides, the System will allow to optimize the operation of the company’s metrology department through online monitoring of the instruments indications as well as allow the personnel to respond correctly to all possible changes of the process given uninterrupted transfer of the systemized information from the fields and gas pipelines. It is to be noted that the System also covers all new gas metering units: over 30 of them have been installed this year, and their total number is over 100.

Development of the System for gathering and processing of data from the associated gas metering units, their equipment components and software by specialists of ZAO Upravlenie promyshlennoy avtomatiki (subsidiary of OAO Saratovneftegaz) helped to spare significant funds since the analogues available in the market are much more expensive.

Construction of the engineering infrastructure primary facilities to increase the associated gas utilization up to 95%, including introduction of the System for gathering and processing of data from the associated gas metering units, is a priority under the fulfillment of the OAO NK RussNeft gas projects short-term program. The program of the associated gas efficient utilization, implemented by OAO Saratovneftegaz, will not only render a notable economic effect but also allow to enhance the environment in the areas of the developed fields.
